Hilton Paddington commissions an individual design from the Jordan Andrews team.
As a Weitzer Parkett recognised installer, Jordan Andrews were asked to assist in the specification and installation of a hardwood floor for the new Executive Lounge at the Paddington Hilton hotel.
Along with the hotel group, architects and designers, the specification was decided upon to be a 2-layer single plank walnut floor, which was to be fully bonded on to a ply soft floor as height was an issue.
The clients specifically wanted to include some of the heritage of Paddington Station itself, and Jordan Andrews subsequently created the Great Western Railways emblem from two hardwoods - walnut, with cherry for the inner lettering and trim. This was templated and cut at the Jordan Andrews workshop, installed on-site and provides a fantastic focal point.
