Jordan Andrews gorgeous hardwood floors at Chiswick & Portman Square properties

These properties required the highest possible sound reduction to be applied to a concrete sub-floor. Due to this we had restraints on what products can be used with concrete, Jordan Andrews specified the Highest Quality in sound reduction in an Acoustic Deck. This is called the Deck 22.

DecK 22 - with a 30mm thickness - constructed at 22 Chipboard and 8mm LRAC Foam, this product is designed to reduce impact noise by a maximum of 56db.

The clients specification was for a limed effect floor, something fresh to lighten the property. It was also very important that it felt like a natural product. This lead us to oiled finished floors as oiled floors still feel natural and the grain can be felt when touched, whereas a lacquered finish is very smooth.

The Vintage Mediterranean is a Natural Grade Oak (Colour Variation and knots), it has been brushed so the grain texture is prominent and has been white oiled so the white colour stays in the grain where the floor has been brushed giving a beautiful limed effect.

This product was a perfect match for the client's requirements.

The Vintage range are Engineered floors and can be stuck down onto the Deck 22 or floated on an underlay. In this case the client wanted outstanding sound reduction and went for the highest quality sound reducing underlay too!

The underlay used was Technics 5 and has a maximum sound reduction of 28db. The client couldn't have been happier with the quality, look and feel of the floor, not to mention the impeccable sound reduction.
