The Urdang Dance Academy
August 2007 Jordan Andrews were commissioned by The Urdang Dance Academy in Finsbury Town Hall to lay a new floor in their main hall. They needed the floor to be sprung to absorb the dancer's impact. Jordan Andrews invented their own sprung flooring design which involved the floor being secret nailed onto foam backed battens which were laid onto the joice.
The timber chosen was a 57mm prime unfinished maple which was sanded and finished with The Urdang's choice of Rustins slip resistant floor coating.
Three years later and the coating had worn off in places. The Jordan Andrews team sanded the floor back to bare timber and refinished it with a recommended product of Bona Traffic Anti-Slip.
