ISTORIA VINTAGE BESPOKE NEVADA OAK HAND SCRAPED

For the 1970s home refurbishment project undertaken by Forrester Roberts Interior Design, the focus was on creating a modern and family-functional space, necessitating a complete redecoration and layout overhaul.

Engineered wood flooring was selected for the entire ground floor, with a preference for planks in the Istoria Bespoke Nevada. The Istoria Bespoke Vintage Nevada offers a distinctive aesthetic with its smoked and hand-scraped engineered oak boards.

The smoking process imparts a slightly darker shade to the oak, enhancing its depth and character while introducing more pronounced colour variation across individual planks. Additionally, the hand-scraping technique adds texture to the surface, imbuing it with the rustic charm reminiscent of old, reclaimed wood floors. This tactile quality provides a unique sensory experience, as the surface is not perfectly smooth but rather exhibits a subtle undulation akin to waves.

By incorporating Istoria Bespoke Vintage Nevada flooring into the home, Forrester Roberts Interior Design successfully achieved their goal of attaining contemporary style with family-friendly functionality.
